Title: 1881 Schoolhouse
Students experience schoolhouse lessons of the 1880s as conducted in Edmonton's first public school (1881). The focus is to provide a 'living experience' as to how schooling in Alberta has changed and the influence of institutions and peoples from the past as reflected in the present. The lessons and stories provide multiple perspectives of Alberta's heritage.
Program length: 2.5 hours
Maximum group size: 30
Optimal adult/student ratio: 1 adult for 7 students
Program fee: $200 (No fee for EPS)

Title: Grandma's Place: A Visit to Grandma and Grandpa's in the Thrifty '30s
A hands-on experience involving activities and 'chores' based on those of the early 1900s. Students gather information about life in the '30s from multiple perspectives in order to develop an appreciation and respect for the contributions of Alberta citizens of the past.
